The mission of ROYaL is multifaceted. While we celebrate and highlight the outstanding achievements of young individuals, our core aim is to inspire and uplift those who might not otherwise be recognised. ROYaL is dedicated to engaging with children and young people who are the change makers in their communities, providing them with, support, and opportunities they need to thrive.

Dr. Claudine Duberry
​Founder of ROYaL - Raising Our Youth as Leaders
For more than three decades, Dr Claudine Duberry has dedicated her life to empowering children, young people, families and communities to realise their full potential.
​
An internationally recognised social work consultant, criminologist, educator, author and keynote speaker, Dr Duberry has spent over 30 years influencing professional practice, shaping policy and supporting thousands of individuals across education, youth justice, local authorities, family courts, universities and community organisations.
​
Throughout her career, one belief has remained constant:
Every young person deserves to be recognised for their potential, not defined by their past.

That belief inspired the creation of ROYaL – Raising Our Youth as Leaders.
More than an awards programme, ROYaL is a movement that celebrates excellence, resilience, leadership and service. It honours extraordinary young people, inspirational individuals and community organisations whose dedication is creating lasting change and inspiring future generations.
